ChallengeDCA: Competition for use case projects with satellite communications for the private sector

About this process
The 2nd edition of the ChallengeDCA focuses on identifying and recognizing use cases in the field of satellite communications. As part of this competition, two innovative use case proposals will be selected that will increase the efficiency and performance of the Catalan business ecosystem.
The objective of this call, therefore, is to promote the competitiveness and digitization of private sector companies through the implementation of the proposed use cases in the field of satellite communications.
CALENDAR
- Collection of proposals: until June 14th, 2024
- Competition resolution: July 2024
AWARDS
2 prizes of €5,000 and the opportunity for each winner to opt for a service contract valued at €45,000
REQUIREMENTS
- The use cases must be based on application technology in the field of satellite communications. Satellite communications will be considered those communications that use satellites to transmit data and provide coverage in areas not covered by terrestrial communications or serve to improve the resilience of applications in cases of critical communications
- Eligible proposals will be those that present solutions based on a new or existing product. The solutions must incorporate enough changes and adjustments to configure an innovative solution adapted to the use case in question.
- The proposals must be directed specifically at the private sector. In addition to the technical report, it is necessary to include a commitment to collaborate in the development of the use case by the end-user company or private entity. This commitment must detail and clearly explain the participation of this company in the project.
